Continuing the award-winning concept of allowing user to conveniently hot-swap drives without the use of any tool, BlacX series of hard drive docking station re-defined the way users transfer large amount of data. BlacX Duet 5G utilizes the latest in USB 3.0 (SuperSpeed USB) interface that enables blazing fast data transfer with maximum throughput of 5.0 Gbps, 10 times the transfer speed found on previous USB 2.0 (480 Mbps) interface. To achieve the added transfer speed, BlacX Duet 5G fully utilizes the bi-directional data interface, for each receive and transmit signals, rather than the half-duplex arrangement found on USB 2.0. BlacX Duet 5G is also fully backward-compatible with USB 2.0 host devices providing future-proof upgrade capability to USB 3.0.
